Obituary for Virginia Crowl (Garvin)

Virginia Garvin Crowl, 84, of St. Rt. 7 in Rogers, passed away at 7:04 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at home following a lengthy illness.

She was a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Hole Garvin and was born in Rogers on Oct. 3, 1929. Virginia was a homemaker and had been a waitress at several area restaurants at one time.

Surviving are seven daughters, Joy Chismar, of Columbiana, Janice Hanna of E. Palestine, Peggy Puteet of Canton, Bonnie Shaffer at home, Jennifer Divjak of Wisconsin, Sarah Denny of Tennessee and Mary Birch of Ocala, FL.

There are also five sons, Danny Barnhouse of Guam, David Barnhouse of Guam, James Barnhouse of Lisbon, Nick Divjak, Jr. of Eden, OH and Robert Divjak of Eden, OH.

She will be sadly missed by her 28 grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Betty Knight of E. Palestine, Jean Butler of Columbiana, and Esther Scott of E. Palestine, as well as a brother James Garvin of E. Palestine.

In addition to her parents, and a husband Robert Crowl, Virginia was preceded by a sister Grace Crawford.

A memorial service is planned at a later date. The Dawson Funeral Home is handling her arrangements.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the All Caring Hospice of Canfield.
