Obituary for Helen V. Billingsley (Reese)

Helen V. Billingsley, of Chester Avenue, Wellsville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her home. She was 90.

Born June 29, 1924 in New Matamoras, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Means Reese. At one time she worked at the Kings Bargain Center in East Liverpool as well as The Mart in Lisbon and Sulene Distribution in East Liverpool.

She had been a member of the Wellsville VFW Auxiliary, the Area Senior Citizens and the Tri-Angle Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Hanselman in 1986. She was then married to Harold “Hank” Billingsley until his death in 1992.

She is survived by two sons, William “Bill” Timmons, and his wife Susanne, of Wadsworth, Ohio and Charles “Chuck” Timmons, and his wife Debbie, of East Liverpool. There is a step-daughter, Nancy Scott, and her husband Robert, of Industry, as well as a step-son, Edward “Ted” Hanselman of Industry. She is also survived by her companion Jack Starkey.

Eleven grandchildren also survive along with 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles, Harold “Gene”, William, John, Kenneth and Robert Reese.

Pastor Bob Gadd of the House of Prayer will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial is to be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
