Obituary for Gary Russell Marker
Gary Russell Marker, 57, of Riverview Street, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 9:55 a.m. at the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania following a brief illness.
Born June 3, 1957 at East Liverpool, he was a son of Shirley Shaffer Marker of East Liverpool and the late Edward R. Marker, who died January 13, 1992.
A lifetime area resident, he was employed at Paper Service in Rogers, Ohio for the past 20 years. Prior to that he owned and operated Gary’s Appliance Service. A member of the Church of Christ (Disciples), he was a graduate of East Liverpool High School in 1975.
Besides his mother, survivors include one sister, Joni Sue Marker of East Liverpool; and three brothers, Brent E. Marker of Sheridan, IL, Jay A. Marker of East Liverpool, and John T. Marker of East Liverpool.
He also leaves behind three nieces, Nicole Marker, Riley Mason, and Taylor Marker; and one nephew, Brennen Marker.
Reverend Willard “Chuck” Adkins of the church will officiate a memorial service on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center immediately following the service.
