Obituary for Esther J. Williams (Mason)

Carrollton, Ohio- Esther J. Williams, 84, of Longhorn Street died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 7:45 p.m. at the Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton following a lengthy illness.

Born October 6, 1929 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert D. and Susie Thomas Mason.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Williams, whom she married April 4, 1954. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Martin and her husband, Jason of Magnolia, Ohio; and one son, Larry Williams of Palm Coast, Florida.

There are 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister Theda Mason of East Liverpool.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Mason, Mary Deyarmon, June Ward, Elene Hoffmans, and Dorothy Holtzman; and five brothers, William Mason, Willard Mason, Robert Mason, Richard Mason, and Jerrold “Pete” Mason.

Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will officiate a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
