Obituary for Louis Joseph Quinn Jr.

Louis Joseph Quinn, Jr., 54, passed away at his home on Coolidge Avenue in East Liverpool at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 after battling Multiple Sclerosis for 22 years.

He was born in Salem, OH on November 14, 1959, a son of Kathleen “Kathy” Ashbaugh of East Liverpool, and Louis Joseph Quinn, Sr. of Marlboro, OH.

From 1978 to 1981, he served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A civil engineer by trade, Joseph worked for many years for Kidde Consultants in Maryland, and in his free time, he loved to fish and to draw.

Joseph was also a drummer in several local bands in this area, as well as in Maryland during the time he spent there.

In addition to his parents, he is survived at home by his wife, Teresa Cichoski Quinn, whom he married in 1986.

Two daughters also survive: Krystal Quinn of Pittsburgh, and Brittneey Quinn of Westlake, OH, as well as a son, Louis J. “Joey” Quinn III and his wife, Felicia, of Lisbon.

Joseph also leaves two grandchildren: Louis Joseph Quinn IV and Landen Reid Benjamin, as well as a brother, Stephen R. Quinn and his wife, Katrina, of Salem. Joseph’s step-brother, Mike Adkins, of West Minster, MD, also survives, along with his step-mother, Joyce Quinn, of Marlboro, OH.

Preceding him in death were his step-father, Richard E. Ashbaugh, his paternal grandparents, Joseph P. and Ethel M. Quinn, and his maternal grandparents, Oliver D. and Catherine Dixon Metts.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from
4 to 7 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Friday, with Fred May of the Salineville Church of Christ officiating. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide full military honors at that time.
