Obituary for Frederick G. Fryman Sr.

Frederick G. “Bud” Fryman, 72, of McDonald Street passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at 3:30 a.m. at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born December 29, 1941 in the LaCroft section of East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Frederick P. and Dorothy Rayle Fryman.

A lifetime area resident and East Liverpool High School Class of 1960 graduate, he had once worked at the D&J Service Station in LaCroft, and for M&M Vending. In 1972 he opened his own Standard Oil Station in Lisbon by the Route #11 Exit. Also, he had worked for the former TS&T Pottery in Chester,WV. In 2007, he retired from the S.H. Bell Company after 31 years of service.

He previously had attended the 1st Baptist Church, but more recently he had been going to services at the 1st Church of Christ (Disciples).

Fred was a proud member of the Free & Accepted Masons. He joined the East Liverpool Lodge #681 in 1980. He was their Past Master in 1987, and then from 2008 to 2012. He joined the Rose Croix Scottish Rite in 2004, the Prince of Jerusalem Scottish Rite in Steubenville in 1987. A 33rd Degree Mason, he presently was a 1st Lt. Commander, belonging to the Jefferson Consistory, Carson Lodge of Perfection, York Rite High Priest Chapter #100, Illustrious Master Council #95, Emminent Commander Pilgrim Commandry #55. He had been awarded the MSA Valley of Steubenville Award, the KYCH Award, and the District 24 DEO in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Huff Fryman, whom he married April 27, 1963, at home; four loving children, his daughters, Denise Muschweck of East Liverpool, Tammy Koehler and her husband, Gordon of Leetonia, Ohio, and his sons, Frederick G. Fryman, Jr. and his wife, Ginger of Kensington, Ohio, and Dean Fryman and his wife, Angela of Lisbon.

There are two sisters, Peggy Woods of Columbiana, Ohio, and JoAnne Blades and her husband, David of Indian Head, Maryland.

In addition, he also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Allen Fryman; and one sister, Connie Rizor.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Reverend Chuck Adkins of the church will conduct a funeral service 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

There will be a Masonic Service and a 33rd Degree Ring Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Ohio.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
