HOWARD E. ECHOLS, 86

EAST LIVERPOOL – Howard E. Echols, 86, passed away at his home on Sprucevale Road in East Liverpool at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014.

Born in Pikeville, Kentucky on April 15, 1928, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ollie Damron Echols.

Howard had been employed by and retired from Globe Brick, and he was a member of the Church of God.

He is survived at home by his wife, Katharine Freeman Echols.

Also surviving are four daughters and one son: Veronica Webber and her husband, Dan, of Louisville, OH, Darlene Echols, Gloria Worrell and her husband, Patrick, Twila Dalrymple and her husband, David, all of East Liverpool, and Robert Echols, also of East Liverpool.

There are also five grandchildren: Ashlee, Brittany, Caitlyn, Ciana and Nicholas. There are two great-grandchildren: Chevella and Scarlett.

Howard also leaves behind two sisters and three brothers: Martha West of East Liverpool; Donna Roth of Columbus; Mike Simpson of Columbus, Allen Simpson of Granbury, TX; and Loranza Damron of Hellier, KY. Another sister, Marge Simpson, preceded him in death along with three brothers: Cleo Simpson, Bobby Simpson and Billy Echols.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Ingole of River Christian Fellowship officiating. Howard will be buried at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
