Obituary for Matthew Lee Pitts

Matthew Lee Pitts, of Bill Smith Road, Wellsville, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. He was 42.

Born in East Liverpool, April 4, 1972, he was a son of Linda L. Gillespie Pitts, with whom he resided, and the late Jack Pitts, Jr.

He attended the Christian Life Tabernacle and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Matt enjoyed playing video games and interacting with others on the computer and social media. He was a graduate of Salem High School and worked at EDI South in Calcutta at one time.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Sheila Milano, and her husband Mike, of Calcutta, and Christy Stein, and her husband Paul, of Boardman, and two brothers, Steve Pitts of Calcutta and Joshua Pitts, at home. In addition, one niece survives, Ashley Milano.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. George White will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
