Obituary for Dorothy M. Lockhart (Lockhart)

Dorothy M. Lockhart, longtime East Liverpool resident, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 90.

Born in East Liverpool, July 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Lucy Butcher Lockhart. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Lockhart, in 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard and David Lockhart, three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include a daughter, Ivaloe Patterson of Lisbon, and five sons, Roger Lockhart, and his wife Barbara, of Devine, Texas, Blair Lockhart, and his wife Ruth, of Portland, Texas, Jerry Lockhart, and his wife Eula, of Portland, Texas, Mark Lockhart, and his wife Carla, of Beeville, Texas, and Scott Lockhart, and his wife Cindy, of Empire.

She leaves 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Beverly Cemetery in Beverly, Ohio.
