Katheryn G. Heddleston Marrelli, 88

EAST LIVERPOOL – Katheryn G. Heddleston Marrelli, formerly of McKinnon Avenue in East Liverpool, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 88.

Born in East Liverpool on October 25, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Woodyard Heddleston.

A Methodist by faith, she had operated the former Marrelli’s Market with her husband, John. Katheryn had also worked at Sevy’s Pharmacy and Scafide’s Market.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Marrelli, who passed away on September 9, 1964.

Survivors include three daughters: Judith Ring and her husband Gary, of East Liverpool; Kathy Babb and her husband Richard, of Chesapeake, VA; and Mary Lee Ammon, and her husband Clarence “Chip”, of East Liverpool. There are six grandchildren: Thomas and Andrew Ring, Steven Babb and Julie Babb Inman, and Benjamin and Mary-Katheryn Ammon. There are five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Mackenzie, Lexie, Kamryn and Addison. Katheryn is also survived by a sister, Mary Lee Heddleston of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Rose Heddleston, Helen Kapp and June Wooley, along with three brothers, Richard, Robert and George Heddleston.

A private family service will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial is at Riverview Cemetery.
