Obituary for Samuel Lee Linkous
Samuel Lee “Sammy” Linkous, 56, of Jennings Avenue in East Liverpool, passed away at 1: 16 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at East Liverpool City Hospital after becoming ill suddenly.
A son of the late Mary Helen Jeffries Linkous and John K. Linkous , he was born here on January 5, 1959. Sammy was a familiar face around town, and never knew a stranger. He had been associated for many years with the former Oasis, and had remained friends with the Leon family.
Surviving him is a brother, Frank K. Linkous, of East Liverpool, as well as two nieces whom he loved, Ericka A. Cast of Beaver Falls, and Nicole Lynn Linkous of East Liverpool. There is one great-nephew, Damien Cast, and another one of the way. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 1 to 3 p.m.
Sammy’s cousin, Rev. Willard Chuck Adkins, will conduct services at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
