Obituary for Elsie Florence Blosser Plum (Blosser)

EAST LIVERPOOL – Long-time East Liverpool resident Elsie Florence Blosser Plum passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, May 12, 2015. She was 89.

Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, February 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Earl and Mildred Irene McDonald Blosser. A homemaker, she lived in this area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Plum, as well as a son, Charles Edward “Chuckie” Plum, a sister, Kathryn Irene Shahan, and four brothers, Archie Ernest Blosser, Mearl Franklin Blosser, Cecil Melvin Blosser and Beecham Kail Blosser.

She leaves behind seven daughters: Frances Farnsworth, and her husband Ted, of East Liverpool, Charlene Hess, and her husband James, of East Liverpool, Carolyn Plum of East Liverpool, Marlana Wookey, and her husband Steve, of Colorado, Lori Faulk of Chester, Regina Moore, and her husband Jim, of East Palestine, and Elma Dailey of East Liverpool, and four sons: Arthur Ernest Blosser of Reedsville, West Virginia, Mearl Eugene Weatherholt, and his wife Linda, of Rogers, Robert Lee Plum, and his wife Dixie, of East Liverpool, and James Melvin Plum, and his wife Cathy, of East Liverpool. There are 53 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

A sister survives as well, Gloria Frances Boso, of Glenmoor.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Brian Brown of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery.
