ARNOLD C. TALBOTT, 92

GLEN ELLYN, IL – Arnold C. Talbott, born in East Liverpool on April 7, 1923, passed away early Friday morning, July 3, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Karen, in Glen Ellyn, IL.

A son of the late Lee and Myrtle Wolfe Talbott, he was a 1942 East Liverpool High School graduate, and had been a member of the ELHSAA Olde Guard in recent years.

A veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Corps, he was a World War II veteran and a proud American.

Arnold worked for many years as a steelworker, retiring from the former Crucible Steel Co. Before moving to Illinois to be closer to family, he belonged to the Elks Lodge #258 in East Liverpool (where he kept his membership current) and was one of the original Car Barn Heathens. He also was a member of the American Legion and the Deer Trails Management Club.

His wife, Ellen, whom he married on April 27, 1946, preceded him in death on April 16, 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Pechak and her husband, David, of Glen Ellyn and also of Van Buren, MO, along with a son, Wayne Talbott and his wife, Lea Anne, of Winter Park, FL. There are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were eight sisters and three brothers.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Services will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct full military honors at the burial which will follow at Riverview Cemetery
