Obituary for Linda Byland Buchheit (Byland)

COLUMBIANA – Linda Byland Buchheit passed away suddenly at her home on Fairfield School Road in Columbiana Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was 69.

Born in East Liverpool on September 26, 1945, a daughter of the late Glennis Sams and James I. Byland, Sr., Linda was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School. A lifetime area resident, she had worked most recently at Salem Community Hospital in central supply.

She attended the Greenford Christian Church. Linda loved to shop; her favorite store was Marc’s in Salem or from home at QVC or the Home Shopping Network.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Richard Buchheit, who passed away September 16, 2000. She was also preceded by a brother and two sisters: Richard Byland, Beth Widger and Pauline Beaver.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Hinchliffe and her husband, William, of Leetonia, and a son, Scott Buchheit and his wife, Sheila, of Mentor, Ohio. There are six grandchildren: Zachery Miraldi, Richard Buchheit, Nicholas Hudson, Kaitlyn Buchheit, Morgan Hudson and Eliza Mason, as well as a great-grandson, Shaun Hudson.

Linda also leaves behind a sister, Barbara James of Florida, and two brothers, James Byland, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Edward Byland of Chester.

Friends may visit Sunday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Rev. Norman Eckert will conduct a funeral service Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Linda will be laid to rest at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rogers.
