Imogene B. Chapman, 92

EAST LIVERPOOL – Imogene B. Chapman, formerly of Midland, currently residing with her son in Robinson Township, PA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2015 at St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars, Pennsylvania with her family by her side. She was 92.

Born in Branchland, WV, February 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Harmon and Sally Ashworth Lucas. A past resident of the Midland and New Brighton areas, Imogene was a charter member of the St. Clair Ave. Church of Christ in East Liverpool, and she had recently attended the New Brighton Church of Christ.

Imogene had worked in several defense plants in Huntington, WV during WW II, as well as the Sylvania Electrical plant, and the Riverview Greenhouse in East Liverpool.

Her husband, Lloyd Chapman, preceded her in death on August 2, 1969.

She is survived by a son, Paul Winters, and his wife Elizabeth, of Coraopolis, PA, her granddaughters, Lahoma Blocker, Jennifer Winters and Kristi Chapman, as well as her grandsons, Anthony Chapman and Terry Chapman.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sallie and Kathy Chapman, a son Ernest “Ray” Chapman, a grandson Joseph Chapman, two sisters Druzella Frye and Evelyn Mayes, and her brother Ernest Lucas.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Ave. Church of Christ.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Following the cemetery service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
