Obituary for Ricky L Adkins

COLUMBIANA – Ricky L. Adkins, 60, passed away suddenly at his home on South Main Street in Columbiana on Thursday, October 29, 2015.

A son of the late James and Pauline Higgins Adkins, he was born in East Liverpool on July 21, 1955 and graduated from East Liverpool High School.

Ricky had been employed at Century Container in Columbiana for many years and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving him is a sister, Sandra K. Potter of Henderson, Kentucky, and a brother, James B. Adkins of East Liverpool. Also surviving is a niece, Jamie R. Palmer and her husband, Bruce, of East Liverpool, as well as two nephews, Barton E. Mack and his wife, Shona, of Henderson, Kentucky, and Trevor S. Mack and his wife, Christi, also of Henderson. There are six great-nieces and nephews: Skylar Palmer, Taylor Springel, Ali Lawton, Peytan Williams, Ethan Williams and Gabi Mack, as well as many cousins and a beloved aunt, Norma R. Richards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two brothers, Kevin Wayne Adkins and David James Adkins.

Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Tuesday.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
