Obituary for Dorothy Kent (Strobel)

WEIRTON, WV – Dorothy M. Kent, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was 94.



Born in East Liverpool, January 26, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Maud Gething Strobel. A homemaker, she also worked at the Pioneer Pottery many years ago. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.



Her husband, Charles R. “Dick” Kent, passed away February 11, 2013. The couple married February 14, 1946. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Strobel.



She is survived by two nieces, Patricia Heacock of East Liverpool and Tammy Curran of Salem, as well as a nephew, William Strobel of Freemont, Nebraska.



A private family committal and burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
