Obituary for John T Marker

John T. Marker, 54

EAST LIVERPOOL – John T. Marker, of Calcutta, passed away Sunday night, January 24, 2016 at his home following a one year illness. He was 54.

Born in East Liverpool, November 7, 1961, he was a son of Shirley Shaffer Marker of East Liverpool and the late Edward R. Marker. A graduate of East Liverpool High School, he worked as a Union Carpenter. He enjoyed motorcycles and boating on the river and spending time with his dogs, Bella and Harley.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debbie Kinney Marker at home. The couple married June 13, 2015. He also leaves a daughter, Nicole Marker, a step-daughter, Desiree Pinkerton, a sister, Joni Sue Marker, and a brother, Jay Marker all of East Liverpool.

Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary R. Marker and Brent Marker.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Dr. Vel Vais will conduct a funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
