Obituary for Katlyn Elizabeth Myrick (Myrick)
EAST LIVERPOOL – Katlyn “Katie” Myrick, of East Liverpool, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 25.
Born in Marietta, Georgia, April 19, 1991, she was a daughter of Tawnya Tatgenhorst Myrick of East Liverpool, and Tom Myrick of Hayden, Alabama. She lived most of her life in this area and worked as a nurse’s aide at Valley Oaks Care Center. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 2009.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Lynn Long of East Liverpool, as well as her aunts and uncles: Todd Tatgenhorst (Elaine), Terry Tatgenhorst (Denise), Kendra Trainer (Jay), Kelly Long (Rick Hindes), Walt Long (Michelle), and William “Bee” Long. She will also be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Walt Long and John Sowards.
Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Cousin Bob Tatgenhorst will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
