Obituary for Ronald D Shreeve

Summerset Drive resident Ronald D. Shreeve passed away at the age of 84 at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Heritage Valley, Beaver. He had been ill for quite some time.

He was born in East Liverpool on September 25, 1931, a son of the late Pearl H. and Olive Whitehill Shreeve. A 1949 graduate of East Liverpool High School, he had remained in this area the rest of his life.

For over 25 years, he was a salesman with Litton Motors, and later sold wholesale tires. Ron had also worked for Ferguson Tire for over 25 years. He loved NASCAR racing, riding motorcycles, hunting, spending time in the mountains, and cheering for the Steelers.

His wife, Jean Clutter Dabler Shreeve, survives him at home. They were married February 4, 1982.

Three sons survive as well: Jonathan Shreeve of Kissimmee, FL; Timothy Shreeve and his wife, Diane, of East Liverpool; and Dan Dabler, also of East Liverpool. There are two daughters: Christie Dabler of Negley; and Heather Higgins of Wellsville. Another daughter, Teresa Dabler Amero, preceded him in death in 2006.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren: Natalie, Tim, Jerica, Tye, Lacey, Jacob, Dannie Leigh, Triston, Brier, Danielle, Jessica and Eli, along with nine great-grandchildren. One grandson, Dalton Higgins, preceded him in death.

Ron also leaves behind a sister, Vera Shreeve, of Damascus, OH. He will also be missed by his canine companion, “Copper”.

Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Marie “Sally” Shreeve, as well as a daughter-in-law, Darlene.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday, where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m.

Private graveside services will be held at Columbiana County Memorial Park, with Pastor Mike Ingole of the River Christian Fellowship Church officiating.
