Obituary for John E Eiferd

John E. “Fireball” Eiferd, 80

EAST LIVERPOOL – John E. “Fireball” Eiferd, passed away Valley Oaks Care Center, Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016. He was born in East Liverpool on July 11, 1935 and had remained in this area his entire life.

A son of the late Elmer E. F. “Stump” and Ruth Katherine Richards Eiferd, “Fireball” had graduated from Linsley Military Academy in Wheeling, and had attended Kent State University, Penn State University and the NY School of Design.

He belonged to the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church and he had been the longtime owner-operator of the Dan-D-Bar in downtown East Liverpool.

Surviving him is his brother, Donald K. Eiferd, and his wife Doreen, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and his nieces, Nicole Sizer, and her husband Josh, Staci Eiferd and Rachel Eiferd.

Private family services were held Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home, burial was in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
