Obituary for Bonita Webb (Chambers)

Bonita Chambers Webb, who was born in Beaver, PA on December 26, 1927, passed away at Heritage Valley in Beaver on Saturday evening, July 30, 2016. Formerly of Globe Street in East Liverpool, Bonita had spent most of her life in this area and died at the age of 88.

One of seven children born to the late Joseph and Nora Reed Chambers, she was raised on a family farm outside of Beaver and had come to East Liverpool soon after her marriage on October 25, 1946 to Howard R. “Pete” Webb. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1996.

She had lovingly cared for her family as a homemaker and belonged to Boyce United Methodist Church. A proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she enjoyed playing cards, but loved following all the activities of her grandchildren more than anything.

Three sons survive: Howard L. “Pete” Webb and his wife, Sherrie, of Weirton; Joseph L. Webb and his wife, Leah, of East Liverpool; and Curtis D. Webb and his wife, Lisa, also of East Liverpool. A fourth son, Martin R. “Marty” Webb, passed away on February 20, 1982.

There are ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonita also leaves behind a brother, Donald Chambers and his wife, Edna, of Beaver, PA. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Deloris and Lenora, and by her brothers, Robert, Dean and Franklin.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Alvin Talkington will conduct services to be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Bonita will be laid to rest beside her husband at Riverview Cemetery.
