IVA MAE WATKINS OBITUARY

East Liverpool, Ohio- Iva Mae Watkins, 73, of Moore Street passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania following a lengthy illness.

Born April 14, 1943 in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Helen Andric Johnson.

She spent her lifetime in this area working as a homemaker raising her children and taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Watkins and then by her second husband, Franklin D. Watkins.

Survivors include her daughter, Clara Watkins of East Liverpool; and her four sons, Sam Johnson and his wife, Lisa of East Liverpool, Charles Watkins, Jr .and his wife, Jackie of Newell, West Virginia, Albert Watkins and his wife, Patricia of East Liverpool, and Alvin Watkins of East Liverpool.

In addition, there are four step-children, Shannon Watkins of East Liverpool, Bobbi Sue Watkins of east Liverpool, John Watkins of East Liverpool, and Jim Watkins of East Liverpool.

There are 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold “Sonny” Rayle.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Pastor Kim Gadd will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
