Margaret Marie “Peg” Turner, 91

EAST LIVERPOOL - Margaret Marie “Peg” Turner, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at UPMC Mercy Hospital. She was 91.

Born in Weirton, West Virginia, April 3, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Georgia Loughead Stephenson. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of the Weir High Class of 1944.

She was a member at one time of the Traveler’s Club, the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary, Colonial Club, and the Monday Literary Club. She was the last surviving member of E.L.G.G.A – East Liverpool Gin and Golf Association. An avid bridge player, she looked forward to her get-togethers with her friends. She especially enjoyed lunch with “The Birds”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. K.W. Turner. The couple married December 21, 1947.

Survivors include two daughters, Bridgette Turner and her husband, Steve Puican, of Columbus, and Tammie McIntosh and her husband, Bart, of Newell, and a son, Kim W. Turner and his wife, Sandy, of San Diego. There are two granddaughters, Ariana Turner and Lauren McIntosh.

A sister survives as well, Patricia Bryan and her husband, James, of New Manchester.

A memorial celebration of Peg’s life will be conducted at a later time at the Dawson Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary, 425 West Fifth Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
