Obituary for Lois M Brown (Henthorne)

LOIS M. BROWN, 90
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE– Lois M. Brown, 90, formerly of Summit Drive in East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at Lakeshore Heartlands Nursing Home in Nashville at 5:15 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016. She had relocated to that area two and a half years ago due to health reasons.
Lois was born in Wellsville on August 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Calvin and Bertha Edwards Henthorne. She was a 1943 graduate of Wellsville High School.
She and her husband, Amberry L. Brown were married on September 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1993.
For many years, Lois worked in the office of the former J.C. Penney in downtown East Liverpool, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ, and also belonged to the Senior Triangles, the Area Seniors, and the ROLO group (Remembering Our Loved Ones) in her later years.
Surviving are her daughters, Janet Hargreaves of Rogers, and Judy Clinger and her husband, Kent, of Nashville, TN, as well as her son, Amberry L. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Jan, also of Nashville.
Lois was a proud grandmother of Jeremy Brown and his wife, Amy; Amanda Canos and her husband, Jason; Elizabeth Hargreaves; Jonathan Clinger and his wife, Lauren; Michael Clinger; and Joel Clinger, as well as great-grandchildren Kaleb Porter, Gordon Powell, Hannah Porter, Henry Oliver, Holland Brown, Morgan Brown, Mackenzie Canos and Sophie Canos.
A sister, Merle Roseberry, preceded Lois in death, as did her three brothers, Lester Henthorne, Gary Henthorne and Raymond Plum.
Pastor Gary LeMasters will officiate at services to be held at the Dawson Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
