BONITA “BONNIE” BEOHM, 78
WELLSVILLE – “There is a time for everything, and a season for every purpose under the Heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). On Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016, Bonita “Bonnie” Beohm slipped peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior. Bonnie, of Echo Valley Drive in Wellsville, died at Calcutta Health Care Center with her husband, Cliff, at her side. She was 78.
She was born on August 11, 1938 in Wellsville, the only child of the late Frank and Virginia Glaser Irons. Bonnie was a 1956 graduate of Wellsville High School and went on to attend secretarial school at Ohio Valley Business College, remaining in this area the rest of her life.
On July 3, 1958, she married Clifton L. “Cliff” Beohm, and became a dedicated and devoted homemaker. She took great pride in raising their three daughters and welcoming friends into their home and at their table. Bonnie will long be remembered for her sweet nature and loving kindness to all she met.
She had worked in the office at the former Patterson Foundry, and later became secretary at Beaver Local Middle School, working alongside Principal Paul Metrovich for many years.
For over 32 years, she was a member of the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, and had later become a member of the Lisbon Baptist Temple.
In addition to her husband, who survives her at home, Bonnie leaves behind her daughters: Kelly Walker and her husband, Robert, of Eddyville, KY; Amy Smith of Columbus; and Carrie Chatterton and her husband, Matthew, of Aurora, CO.
There are six grandchildren: Melissa Walker Posey, Trisha Walker Bowden, Jared Hoppel and his wife, Andrea, Grant Hoppel, Archer Chatterton, and Reiner Chatterton. There are seven great-grandchildren as well. Bonnie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaydee Jean Walker.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Bonnie’s former pastor, John Moosey, will conduct funeral services to be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park, followed by a time of continued fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
