Obituary for Louise Nell Wells (Plumley)

Louise Nell Wells, 70, of Beechwood Street in East Liverpool, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Essex of Salem. Louise had been battling poor health for some time, especially after the death of her husband two years ago, and now joins him and other loved ones in Heaven.

Louise was a daughter of the late Arvil Lee and Gaynell Cummings Plumley, born in Logan County, WV on April 27, 1946. She had come to this area as a teenager and was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

On June 24, 1967, Louise married her husband, Dennis Lee “Denny” Wells. Her first and favorite role was as a wife, mother and grandmother. But she had also waitressed, and had helped care for her ailing mother for many years. Denny preceded her in death on September 7, 2014.

Surviving is her beloved daughter, Amanda Kidder and her husband, David, of East Liverpool. There are two cherished grandchildren: Erilyn and Jazen Kidder, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Louise was preceded in death by her sister, Halene Plumley, by a niece, Joy Nola, and by a nephew, Danny Springer.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from noon to 2 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church, where Louise had attended for many years. After the service, the family and friends will gather at the church’s Fellowship Hall for a continued time of remembrance.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
