Nila June Evans Savors, 79

EAST LIVERPOOL – Nila June Evans Savors, 79, of East Liverpool, passed away while surrounded by her family Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

Born in Chester, WV, on July 3, 1937, she was a daughter of the late George and Violet Trowbridge Evans. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School, and had spent her lifetime in this area.

On January 8, 1956, she married Robert J. Savors and became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Although she had also worked for TS&T Pottery at one time, she had provided in-home daycare for Columbiana County. She loved her family and her own grandchildren more than anything.

Robert preceded her in death on September 8, 1995.

Nila is survived by a daughter, Kathryn E. Davis and her husband, Wyman, of Calcutta; and by three sons, Robert E. Savors of Lisbon, Stephen M. Savors and his wife, Cindy, of East Liverpool, and Randy A. Savors and his wife, April, of Rogers. There are 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also surviving are two sisters, Marlaine Cawley and her husband, Mike, of Ashland, OH, and Connie McLaughlin and her husband, Cobb, of Missouri. Nila is also survived by an uncle, Jim Evans of Lorain Ohio.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Nila was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday where the family will be present from 1 to 3 p.m.

Pastor Mike Ingole of River Christian Fellowship in Empire will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
