Obituary for Doris Jean Bevington (Wade)

Doris Jean Bevington, formerly of Ogden Street, passed away at the age of 84 on July 31, 2017 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

A daughter of Harvey and Sadie Fletcher Wade, Doris was born in Griffithsville, WV on August 9, 1932. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1951, having moved to this area in 1941. A devoted mother and homemaker, Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards and Bingo.

Doris leaves behind her three sons, Mike, and his wife Sandy, Jeffrey Bevington, and Barry Bevington, all of East Liverpool. There are two grandsons: Tom Bevington and his wife Jennifer, and Matthew Bevington, both of Michigan.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in 1965 by her husband, Thomas H. Bevington, a brother, Gary Wade in 1996, as well as her great-granddaughter, Faith Marie Bevington in 2016.

Friends and family may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Elder Robin Carter of the 2nd Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Industry, PA.
