Obituary for Audra Keener

Audra Keener, 88

COLUMBIANA – Mildred “Audra” Keener, formerly of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at the St. Mary’s Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana. She was 88.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, October 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Henry W. and Freeda Cobb Westfall. A resident of this area most of her life, she was active in the Lisbon Seniors at one time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Keener, on May 5, 2012. The couple married September 24, 1949. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Westfall and Ruby Groves; and two brothers, Virgil Westfall and Charles Westfall and a granddaughter Terry Marie Keener.

She is survived by her children: two daughters, Rebecca Saltsman and her husband, Oliver, of Columbiana, and Wanda Mellinger and her husband, Mervin, of Rogers; and five sons, Henry Keener and his wife, Leslee, of Cincinnati, Richard Keener and his wife, Georganne, of Chippewa, James Keener and his wife, Tammy, of Columbiana, Steven Keener and his wife, Angie, of Wellsville, and Robert Keener and his wife, Jeanette, of South Carolina.

There are 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren

Other survivors include her sisters: Ruth Cunningham and her husband, Frank, Patsy Williams and her husband, Jack, and Peggy Simms and her husband, Mack; along with a brother Earl Westfall and his wife, Patsy.

Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
