Obituary for James E. Lockhart

WELLSVILLE – James E. Lockhart, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was 57.

Born in East Liverpool, May 2, 1960, he was a son of the late Ralph E. “Bugs” Lockhart and the late Mary Brannon Lucas.

At one time he worked at Sterling China and the Homer Laughlin China Company. He was a member of the Southern Local Class of 1978.

He is survived by a daughter, Christy Smith and her husband, Paul, of East Liverpool, and a son, James “J.T.” Lockhart and his companion, Kristin Hull, of East Liverpool, as well as three grandchildren, Haleigh and Hannah Cunningham, and Jayden Lockhart.

He also leaves behind a sister, Tina Lockhart-Simmons and her husband, Tom, of Salineville and two brothers Richard L. Lockhart and his wife, Helen, of Salineville, and Butch Ferguson of Lewisburg, West Virginia.

Pastor Nick Timms will conduct a funeral service at the Dawson Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Friends may one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
