A third generation member of the Dawson Family of funeral directors, he is experienced in nearly every aspect of firm. A 1987 graduate of Beaver Local High School, he continued his education at Mount Union College where he was an all-conference performer on the football team and an academic All-American. He then studied mortuary science at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. A member of both the Ohio and National Funeral Directors Associations, he also holds membership in the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. An active member of the community, Dike is a member of the First United Methodist Church and serves on the Board of Trustees of the East Liverpool Area YMCA as well as several other area organizations. Dike and his wife, Jenny, have three sons. |

Dunlap, a licensed funeral director, serves as secretary/treasurer of the funeral home and is a member of the Board of Directors. Dunlap, who earned the Certified Preplanning Consultant designation through the National Funeral Directors Association, has been the director of the pre-need program at Dawsons for nearly 25 years, and was named the recipient of the prestigious Robert G. Guthrie Memorial Award by the Monumental Life Insurance Company for his work in pre-planning. The award is given to one individual each year who most exemplifies the highest standards of integrity, talent and personal responsibility. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Dunlap has been actively involved in the East Liverpool community, having served on various boards and area organizations. A past-president of the East Liverpool Area Red Cross and the Rotary Club, he was instrumental in organizing charitable golf outings for both groups. Dunlap is married to Belinda Dawson Dunlap, vice-president of the funeral home. |
| Belinda Dawson Dunlap, Licensed Funeral Director Email: belinda@dawsonfuneralhome.com Office Phone: (330) 385-1010 Company vice-president Belinda Dawson Dunlap is also a licensed funeral director and assists her husband, Jim, with the firm’s pre-arrangement division, as well as the daily activities of the funeral home. She is a graduate of Beaver Local High School and Mount Union College. Belinda, who sits on the Board of Directors at the funeral home, is very involved in many area organizations and community activities, including the Salvation Army and Team MoJo Foundation, as well as the First United Methodist Church. She and her husband are the parents of a grown son and a daughter, and have been host parents to a Belarusian boy through the Children of Chernobyl program. |
| Frank C. Dawson, Senior Director Office Phone: (330) 385-1010 Frank C. Dawson maintains his involvement as Senior Director of the firm. The son of the company founder, he began his career at the funeral home in 1951 as a car washer and ambulance driver. A 1952 graduate of East Liverpool High School, he is a veteran of the United States Navy. Dawson earned his undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and received his mortuary training at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. A licensed funeral director and embalmer in Ohio and West Virginia, he became president of the firm in 1963. The recipient of many civic and professional awards, he continues to fulfill a lifetime commitment to the people of his beloved hometown, especially through his work with the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association and the Lou Holtz/Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame. As part of the company’s 75th anniversary in 2010, the funeral home Chapel was named in his honor, in appreciation of his influence and the incomparable contributions he has made in shaping the company’s foundation. The author of several books and publications (most recently Picking Elderberries: A Small Town Story), Dawson and his wife, the former Gretchen Beede, have been married for over 53 years. |
| Timothy Martin, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer Office Phone: (330) 385-1010 Tim is the senior embalmer and funeral director and has been part of the Dawson team since 1978. He has his own unique talents and abilities, which transcend normal expectations. An ordained minister, Tim serves as director of monument design and sales at Dawson Family Memorials. Along with his duties at the Dawson Funeral Home, Tim is the minister of “His Glorious Church” in East Liverpool. Tim and his wife, Lynette, have one daughter. |
| Daniel T. Ibbs, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer Office Phone: (330) 385-1010 A licensed mortician in Ohio and Pennsylvania, Dan has been a member of the Dawson team since 1981. In addition, he has been active with the national DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response) program, dating back to when he assisted with the USAIRWAYS’ crash near Pittsburgh in 1994. He has been deployed to some of our nation’s most tragic situations, including recovery operations from the 9-11 attack in New York City and the devastation from Hurricane Katrina. Dan has four children and is married to the former Rhonda Ryman. |
