Obituary for Lois M. Evans (Mann)

Lois M. Evans, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 73.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, January 26, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Chester Mann and Estelle Swinderman Banyai.

A member of Holy Trinity Parish, she was a homemaker and had also worked as a secretary for several area companies.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allyn R. Evans, on April 15, 2008. The couple married May 2, 1964.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth Young, and her husband John Young, Jr., of Georgetown, Pennsylvania, and Laura Skidmore, and her husband Jeff, of Richburg, South Carolina, as well as a son, Allyn “Reed” Evans, Jr., and his wife April, of Roxboro, North Carolina. There are five grandchildren: Kristen Deem, and her husband Dustin, Sara Broskey, and her husband William, Melissa Evans, Jeffrey Skidmore and Leslie Evans and one great-grandson Mason Deem. She also leaves behind her faithful dog Mitzi.

Friends may visit Monday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Fr. Peter Haladej will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
