Obituary for Donna D. Faulk (Durbin)

Donna D. Faulk, 73

CANTON, OHIO – Donna D. Faulk, of North Canton, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was 73.

Born in East Liverpool, December 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Durbin and Anna Lee Stover Durbin Swogger. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1965, she retired from Homer Laughlin China. She also worked at the former Hills Department Store and was beautician at one time as well. She was a faithful member of the Northside Community Church where she would often be seen volunteering in the kitchen.

Donna loved people and was a founding member of the Silver Threads Chapter of the Red Hat Society where she served as the Queen Mum for several years. Above all things in life, Donna loved her family the most. She will be remembered for always having too much food at family dinners, her “nanny-isms” and the way her face lit up when she was around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan Faulk, at home. The couple married August 9, 1986. She is also survived by three daughters: Ronda Tatgenhorst and her husband, Bob, of East Liverpool, Lorie Karmie and her husband, Dale, of Hartville, and Jackie Wolf and her husband, Robb, of Hartville as well as a son, Craig Adkins and his wife, Edna, of North Canton. There are 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three brothers survive: William Durbin of Irondale, Daniel D. Durbin of Calcutta, and Thomas C. Durbin of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Makenna Karmie.

Pastor Larry Rose will conduct a Celebration of Life service at Northside Community Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020. Following the service, family and friends will gather in the church’s fellowship hall.

The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
