Obituary for Alberta Louise Glendenning (Gill)

Alberta Louise Glendenning, 73

WELLSVILLE – Alberta Louise Glendenning, of Wellsville, passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 73.

Born in East Liverpool, October 10, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Gill and Esther Spencer Gill Cannon. A homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at one time she worked at Riverview Orchids. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1965.

Her husband, Earl G. “Jerry” Glendenning, survives at home. The couple married November 14, 1965. She is also survived by her children: two daughters, April Carroll and her husband, Kevin, of East Liverpool, and Anita Meredith and her husband, Roger, of East Liverpool, and two sons, Earl Glendenning of Wellsville and Eric Glendenning and his wife, Kasie, of East Liverpool. There are eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A brother survives as well, Clinton Gill and his wife, Barbara, of Willoughby, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Cannon, three sisters, Alice Malone, Leona Triner and Margaret McDaniel, along with a brother, Richard Gill.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Norman Eckert will conduct a funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
