Obituary for Angela M. "Angie" Ward

CHESTER, WEST VIRGINIA – Angela M. “Angie” Ward, 43, of Chester passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her home of a sudden illness.

Angie was born in Salem, Ohio on October 18, 1977. Angie graduated from Beaver Local High School and received her nursing degree from Kent State University. She worked as a RN for Optum Infusion Services. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her son Cruz whom she loved deeply. Angie enjoyed riding motorcycles with her friend Tom and ATV trail riding with other friends. She loved going to the Deerasic Classics and hunting morel mushrooms with her dad. Angie really looked forward to the family pig roast and reunions. She loved cooking and making homemade ravioli something she did with her mom. Angie also enjoyed going on vacation to Florida with her mom and son.

Preceding Angie in death were paternal grandparents Glenn and Edith Ward; maternal grandfather Cruz Padilla and niece Amanda Seman.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Cruz J. Ward of Calcutta; mother Juanita Allmon and her husband Jon of Wellsville; father Ray Ward and his wife Sandy of New Waterford, OH; six siblings Sam Ward and his wife Glenda of New Waterford, OH, Lee Ann Reda and her husband Chris of Struthers, OH, Chrissy Ward and her significant other Tony Volpini of Poland, Shar Daub and her husband Randy of New Waterford, OH, Jamie Manley and her husband Justin of New Waterford, OH and James Gilbert and his wife Kim of New Waterford, OH and maternal grandmother Violet Padilla of Wellsville.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2021 where the family will be present from 3 to 4 p.m. Her cousin Ben Cope will conduct a memorial service at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 4 p.m. On Saturday August 28, 2021 a celebration of Angie’s life will be held at 6 p.m. at Ward’s Retreat in New Waterford, OH.
