Obituary for Angeline M. Frank (Pugliano)

Angeline M. Frank, 84

EAST LIVERPOOL – Angeline M. Frank, resident of Ft. Myers, Florida and longtime East Liverpool resident, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Stone Pear Pavilion. She was 84.

Born in Wellsville, February 21, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria Rosa Petrolio Pugliano. A member of the Wellsville High School Class of 1951, Angie was a graduate of the Ohio Valley Business College and had also attended Kent State University and Penn Ohio Junior College. She was a member of the former St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she served on the Finance Committee and then became a member of Holy Trinity Parish.

For many years, she owned and operated Frank’s Carry Outs in East Liverpool and Wellsville along with her husband. She also operated Penn Avenue Bookkeeping and Tax Service. Previously, Angie worked in various office positions at Nellis Construction Company, CATV Cable Company and WOHI and WOHI-FM Radio Stations.

In 1986 she began her career in public service and served as the Treasurer and Auditor for the City of East Liverpool until 1994 when she was appointed and later elected to the position of the Columbiana County Treasurer until retiring in 1999.

Active in the community, she was a member of East Liverpool’s Chapter of Business and Professional Women and the East Liverpool Lions Club. She was the co-founder and treasurer of Stock Women’s Investment Group, a March of Dimes Volunteer, co-founder of the East End Improvement Association, and served as secretary of the East Liverpool Charter Commission.

She is survived by her husband, A. Rudy Frank, at home. The couple married February 13, 1954. There are two sons, Rudy Frank and his wife, Pamela, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and Attorney Dominic Frank of East Liverpool. Also left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren: Lt. Commander Dominic R. Frank and his wife, Karye, Lance C. Frank, Samuel M. Frank, Jayce C. Frank, Stuart B. Austin and Neely M. Pessin, along with three great-grandchildren: Lux Angelina Frank, Giovanni Frank and Camila Angeline Frank.
She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Helt and Mary DiCello, and five brothers, Tony, Dominic, Pete, Joseph and Rocco Pugliano.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Scott Kopp of Holy Trinity Parish will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.

Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
