Obituary for Andy Schafer
Clover, South Carolina- Anton E. “Andy” Schafer, 61, of Jim McCarter Road passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 8:04 p.m. at the Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina following a lengthy illness.
Born July 9th, 1959 in East Liverpool, Ohio he was the son of the late James D. and Betty E. Beaver Schafer. Andy grew up in this area graduating from East Liverpool High School in 1978. He moved from East Liverpool many years ago spending the last 29 in Clover. He worked in the IT Department for MainTech.
Survivors include two daughters, Emily Schafer of York, South Carolina and Katie O’Rourke and her husband, Patrick of Lancaster, South Carolina; and one son, Anton “Andy” Schafer and his wife, Nikki of East Liverpool, Ohio.
In addition he has two grandchildren, Delaynee Schafer and Amelia Schafer; and one half-sister, Colleen Sheets of Arizona.
A private family service was held at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Burial is in Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool, Ohio.
