Obituary for Araina Diane Tivis (Howard)

Araina Diane Tivis, 39

EAST LIVERPOOL – Araina Diane Tivis, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was 39.

Born at Rochester Hospital, August 16, 1977, she was a daughter of Marilyn Howard and the late Kenneth Howard. A graduate of Beaver High School, she then earned her teaching degree from Geneva College and received her Master’s degree from Clarion University. She worked as a teacher at PA Cyber. Previously, she worked at the Beaver Medical Center.

She was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in East Liverpool as well as Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Midland.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Lenwood C. Tivis, II, at home. The couple married May 17, 2003. There are three daughters, Raelynn, Leniya and Marquea Tivis, all of East Liverpool.

She also leaves two brothers, Kevin and Brian Howard, both of Midland, and a cousin who was a sister to her, Chevonne Tookes of Midland.

Friends may visit Friday evening at the Greater Faith Family Worship Center in Industry where the family will be present from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Rev. Michael H. Harrison will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Greater Faith Family Worship Center for fellowship.

The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
