Obituary for Arlene Lorraine Grimm (Carman)

ARLENE LORRAINE GRIMM, 56

EAST LIVERPOOL – Arlene Lorraine Grimm, of Montgomery Street, passed away at the age of 56 on July 30, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A daughter of Wayne and Irene Beverly Carman, Sr. of Minerva, Arlene was born in Salem on December 4, 1960. She graduated from Southern Local High School in 1979 and spent her lifetime in this area. A devoted mother and homemaker, Arlene enjoyed being outdoors, gardening in her beautiful yard, and collecting beach glass along the shores of Lake Erie, and she especially loved shopping with her mother and her daughters. Genuine and true-hearted, she had a big heart when it came to animals – but nothing compared to the love she had for her grandchildren.

Surviving her at home is her husband, Thomas “Keith” Grimm, whom she married on February 28, 1981.

Arlene also leaves behind her cherished daughters: Trisha Gephart, and her husband Rich, of Willoughby, and Tori Cataldo and her husband, Danny Love, of Mayfield Heights. There are four grandchildren: Anthony Cataldo, Angelina Cataldo, Archer Love, and Cilene Gephart.

Additional survivors include a brother, Wayne “Jr.” Carman and his wife, Kim, of Hanoverton.

Friends and visit at the funeral home from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlene’s nephew Jason Carman will lead a closing prayer at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
