Obituary for Barbara A. Jarvis (Adams)

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Barbara A. Jarvis, 85, of Calcutta passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Calcutta Health Care.

Barbara was born in East Liverpool, OH on November 2, 1937 a daughter of the late Tracy and Edythe (Fulmer) Adams. She was a homemaker. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and helped with raising her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church. Barbara was an avid artist.

Preceding Barbara in death were her husband, whom she married May 13, 1955, Harry O. Jarvis; daughter-in-law Deborah Jarvis; two granddaughters Candace Jarvis and Rebecca Ann Christen; brother Robert Adams and her uncle and aunt who raised her Tom and Kate Fulmer.

Left to cherish her memory are five daughters Crystal McGaffic and her husband Dale of Twinsburg, OH, Diane Buck of Calcutta, Lisa Hedrick of East Liverpool, Denise Taylor and her husband William of Calcutta and Barbara Christen and her husband Robert of Calcutta; three sons Thomas “Joe” Jarvis of Calcutta, Daniel Jarvis of Calcutta and Timothy Paul Jarvis and his wife Bianca of Montrose, CA; seventeen grandchildren Kristin Bedford, Lauren Smearcheck, Heather Loy, Tiffany Moore, Vincent Jarvis, Justin Buck, Felicia Quinn, Danielle Timmons, Kira Jarvis, Kyle Jarvis, Kelsey Hedrick, Shaina Hedrick, Paul Taylor, Kathryn Taylor, Robert Christen, Jason Christen and Michael Buchheit; 20 great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law Phyllis Adams of Calcutta and Emma Jean Hull of Calcutta.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fr. Leo Wehrlin will celebrate a Mass at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Immediately following the service family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
