Barbara Jean “Jeany” Peterson Smith, 87
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – Barbara Jean “Jeany” Smith, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of East Liverpool and Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Fawcett Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Wellsville, February 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Thelma Stover Peterson and Clyde James Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married in 1951, Donald P. Smith, on
July 9, 2018 and three brothers Harold “Pete” Peterson, Norman Peterson and Clyde James Peterson, Jr.
She is survived by three sons: Donald R. Smith (Ida), Canfield; Douglas P. Smith (Cheri), Poland; David J. Smith (Cathy), East Liverpool; and one daughter, Susan Smith Glover (Pat), Port Charlotte, Florida, and one sister, Carol Peterson Blake of London, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at Highlandtown Cemetery. The Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
