Obituary for Bernard Alfonzo Veglia

Bernard Alfonzo Veglia, 87

EAST LIVERPOOL – Bernard A. Veglia, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home. He was 87.

Born in East Liverpool, February 12, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph and Hazel McDole Veglia. A resident of this area all his life, he was a graduate of the East Liverpool High School and worked at the former Bayley Envelope. He was Baptist and last attended church in Florida.

He is survived by his eight children: six daughters, Darlene Bittinger (Paul) of East Liverpool; Diane Stadnik (Duane) of West Virginia; Deborah Cramer of East Liverpool; Doris Davis (Rick) of East Liverpool; Dawn Smith (Orlen) of East Liverpool; DeAnna Danver (Thomas Carouthers) of East Liverpool; and two sons, Bernard “Bud” Veglia (Diana) of Salem; and Bryan Veglia of East Liverpool. There are 26 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Dolores Manypenny of East Liverpool, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Thelma Calhoun Veglia. He is also preceded by a granddaughter, Brittany Stadnick, a sister, Janet Veglia, a brother, Eugene Veglia, a daughter-in-law, Tina Veglia, a son-in-law, Lewis Andric, and a brother-in-law, Richard Manypenny.
