Obituary for Betty R. DeVault (Robinson)

EAST LIVERPOOL - Betty R. Robinson DeVault, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 86.

Born in Elkins, West Virginia, March 16, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Mae (Wamsley) Robinson.

Betty was a member of the East Liverpool Church of God where she played piano and was a Sunday school teacher in the early years. She loved to cook and enjoyed doing it for all of her family’s get togethers.

Her husband, Rev. Paul DeVault, Jr., died March 8, 2003. The couple married December 3, 1952.

Survivors include a son, Paul Douglas DeVault and his wife, Krista D. MacAulay, of Eatontown, New Jersey, as well as two grandchildren: Angel Charla DeVault and Brandon Alan DeVault and his wife Kelley and several great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her siblings Ted Robinson and his wife Sonie of Mt. Vernon, OH, Annabelle Beggs of Chester, WV, Dorothy Reed of Ft. Pierce, FL, Veronica Robinson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Kathy Rice and her husband Roger of Chester, WV, Guy Joseph Robinson and his wife Judy of Ft. Pierce, FL, Charlie Robinson and his wife Donna of The Villages, FL and David Robinson and his wife Penny of Union, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. her brother Guy Joseph Robinson will conduct a funeral service Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, West Virginia where burial will follow.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and aides of East Liverpool City Hospital Emergency Room and ICU and Stone Pear Pavilion at the Orchards in Chester, WV for the excellent care Betty received.
