Obituary for Betty L. Howell
East Liverpool, Ohio- Betty L. Howell, 93, formerly of Lisbon Street passed away Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at 6:45 a.m. at the O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Born July 10th, 1928 in Wellsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late James R. and Irene Beatty Wathey. She spent most of her life in East Liverpool, Ohio retiring from the East Liverpool City Planning Department. A member of the 1st Evangelical Presbyterian Church, she served for many years as the church secretary. Several years ago she became a member of Northside Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Moseby and her husband, Raymond of Havelock, North Carolina; and two sons, Richard W. Howell of Thorofare, New Jersey and Hayden B. Howell, Jr. and his wife, Erin of Stockbridge, Georgia.
In addition, she also leaves behind three grandchildren, Lucas W. Howell and his wife, Erika, Sarah Howell and Shawn Howell; and three great-grandchildren, Zeppelin, Daxtin and Mila.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hayden B. Howell, one grandson, Joseph Howell and three sisters, Lillian Rowley, Mary Jane Bonvenuto and Ilene Gerace.
Friends may visit the family from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Church will officiate a funeral on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in SpringHill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.
