Obituary for Blanche A Putnam (Plummer)

BLANCHE A. PUTNAM, 97

EAST LIVERPOOL – Lifetime East Liverpool resident Blanche A. Putnam, 97, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Valley Oaks Care Center with her family at her side. Blanche had been married for over 75 years to her husband, B. Fred Putnam, who died November 15, 2015, and she now joins him in Heaven.

A daughter of the late James and Lola Palmer Plummer, Blanche was born in East Liverpool on November 22, 1918.

A Presbyterian by faith, she was a loving and devoted homemaker and had worked at the former E.M. Knowles China Company for over 19 years.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Putnam and his wife, Debbie, of East Liverpool, and Jack Putnam and his wife, Marilyn, of Bluffton, OH. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Lois Helfrich of Canal Fulton, OH.

In addition to her husband, Blanche was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Edna Cooper, Helen Cain, Wanda Plummer, Clarence Plummer, Ray Plummer and Robert Plummer.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

Pastor Raul Diaz of the Cornerstone Christian Life Ministries will conduct services at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Blanche will be laid to rest beside her husband at Calcutta Cemetery, followed by a continued time of fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
