Obituary for Bonnie Calhoun

Bonita K. “Bonnie” Calhoun, 81

SALEM, OHIO – Bonita K. “Bonnie” Calhoun, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Blossom Nursing Home in Salem. She was 81.

Born in Bellaire, Ohio, October 6, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith Hance Pritsch. She worked at H&R Block at one time and was a member Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

Bonnie volunteered as a senior aide at the Way Station. At one time she was a Girl Scout leader and associated with the Tri-State Physical Fitness Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Leo Calhoun, whom she married April 2, 1954. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Arletta and Erma, and a brother John.

Survivors include four daughters: Diana Hicks and her husband, Ray, of Naples, Florida; Debby Blankenship and her husband, Bruce, of Salem; Sherry Calhoun-McIntosh and her husband, Robert, of Lisbon; and Kelly Haught and her husband, Ed, of Wellsville; as well as a son: Steven Calhoun of Wellsville.

There are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition, she leaves two sisters: Edith and Peggy and a brother Butch.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Pastor Craig Knight will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
