Obituary for Bruce Lee Conkle

BEAVER, PA – Bruce L. Conkle, of East Liverpool, passed away Saturday evening, March 19, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. He was 73.

Born in East Liverpool, July 25, 1942, he was a son of the late Leroy and Grace A. Conkle. A lifetime area resident, he worked for the East Liverpool Police Department for many years and had later been a probation officer as well as the jailer for the department.

A member of the Negley Masonic Lodge #565 F & AM, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1960 and had attended Youngstown State University.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Johnston and her husband, Matthew, of Traverse City, Michigan and Kristin Ridel of Traverse City, as well as a son, Jason Conkle of East Liverpool. He also leaves four grandchildren: Claire, Kyle, Ryan and Karis.

Other survivors include “Little Bear” and Brandy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Bill Conkle.

Private entombment will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
