Obituary for Bruce Lee Farnsworth

Bruce Lee Farnsworth passed away suddenly at the age of 32 in Sewickley, PA on Wednesday morning, July 26, 2017. He had resided on Clark Avenue in Wellsville and was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved son and brother.

Born in East Liverpool on October 9, 1984, Bruce was a son of Raymond D. Farnsworth of Wellsville and Peggy Cunningham Farnsworth of East Liverpool. He had spent his lifetime in this area.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife and best friend, Nicole, whom he married on February 7, 2014, and by his four children: Hunter (10), Holden (4), Landon (2) and Jocelyn (5 months). Bruce’s life was his children, and they will always be his legacy.

He also leaves behind his “dad”, Vernon Sarge, of East Liverpool, as well as his maternal grandparents, Barbara Cunningham Custer and her husband, Clyde, of Goldsboro, North Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Frances Farnsworth of Wellsville; three brothers: Richard Farnsworth and his wife, Julie, of East Liverpool; Phillip Mercer and his companion, Whitney Hartley, also of East Liverpool; and Jamie Morris, of Wellsville, along with three sisters: Danielle Mercer of Wellsville; Heidi Galloway and her husband, Corey, also of Wellsville, and Angela Sarge-Vantilburg and her husband, Chad, of East Liverpool.

He is also survived by his in-laws, William and Betty Stewart of Georgetown, and their family, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Ernest “Ray” Cunningham, and by his paternal grandfather, Larry Farnsworth.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Kim Gadd of the House of Prayer will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the House of Prayer Church for a meal and a continued time of fellowship.
