Obituary for Carl B. "Youngen" Young, Jr.

MIDLAND, PENNSYLVANIA – Carl M. “Youngen” Young, Jr., 60, of Midland passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home.

Carl was born in East Liverpool on July 12, 1962 a son of the late Carl B. and Hazel M. (Rose) Young, Sr. Carl worked at Elite Auto Sales in Industry as a mechanic and a salesman. He was a kind loving person that went out of his way to help others. Carl loved to go fishing and shoot pool.

Preceding Carl in death were two brothers Joe Smitha and James William Thompson; two sisters Sharen R. Stanley and Linda Moore; brothers-in-law Charles Marshall, Ralph Wooley, Allen Dobritz and Barry Ours, Sr and nephew Gage Marshall.

Left to cherish his memory are three sisters Barbara Ours of Lisbon, Carla “Missy” Young of Calcutta and Shirley Wooley of East Liverpool; two brothers Rick Dyke of Industry and Barry “Okie” Ours, Jr. of East Liverpool; wife Bobby Joe Chace of East Liverpool; nieces and nephews Jane Wellington and her kids of Salineville, Carl “Jaime” Ours and his kids of Industry, Melissa “Sissy” Dugan, her husband Eugene and their kids of Lisbon, Chuck Holcomb and his kids of East Liverpool, Barbara Ours and her kids of Wellsville, Angel Ours and her kids of Wellsville, Tawney Dobritz and her kids of Ellwood City, Allen Dobritz and his kids of Ohioville, PA and Keith Icenhower of Negley; great nieces, that he considered his daughters, Angel Martinez of Rogers and Brandy Marshall of East Liverpool; great nephew, he considered his son, Sonny Barker and many other great nieces and nephews that includes Heather, C.J., Randy, Daphne, Ethan, Briar, Kensey, Riley, Bryson, Jada, Gracie, Ashton, Harmonie, Karson, Khelani and G.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Longs Run Church Cemetery.
